08:05 AM ET 04.06 | Maurice Jones-Drew's 2011, if there is one, is already shaping up better than 2010. [Jones-Drew] is already able to run, one month ahead of schedule, after having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in January. "The knee's doing great," Jones-Drew said during his first in a series of weekly radio shows on SiriusXM. ... Jones-Drew tore his meniscus in the preseason and sat out the final two preseason games to rest it. He opted not to have the knee surgically repaired and instead went as long as he could with the slight tear. By the end of the season Jones-Drew's knee cartilage was completely worn down, causing a bone-on-bone situation. He was having to have his knee drained on a regular basis. The injury flared up before the Jaguars played in Indianapolis on December 19 with a division title on the line. His knee had to be drained as late as the Saturday night before that game.

Now he needs to focus on getting healthy and not making a spectical or drawing negative attention to himself.

I agree. I blew mine out my sophomore year of college. Ever since then, I can't stand to watch guys get them bent back or even read about the stuff.

Bad knees are a lifelong problem, bone on bone, I haven't heard of anything that fixes that.
