08:25 AM ET 04.06 | If you're wondering what Gary Williams has to do with N.C. State's coaching hire, the answer is plenty. Former Maryland athletic director Debbie Yow caused quite a stir Tuesday when she claimed in a news conference that Maryland men's basketball coach Gary Williams has been trying to "sabotage" the coaching search at North Carolina State, where she is the athletic director. The news conference, held in Raleigh, N.C., to announce the hiring of Mark Gottfried as the Wolfpack's coach, took an unexpected turn when Yow was asked by a reporter whether she thought she had a national reputation for being difficult to work with. ... "I don't have a reputation across all of men's basketball of being difficult to work with," Yow said. "I have a reputation of not getting along with Gary Williams, who has tried to sabotage the search. Come on. We all know that, OK?"

Yow is notorious for being hard to work with. You would think someone in a position like an athletic director would actually have an adult filter. I don't buy that 1 coach at a different school sabotaged this. She botched it from the start.

Gotta blame someone. It's what they do at politically polarizing public schools. CYA

I guess. But instead of building up the new hire she brings that stuff up in the press conference? That's pretty sad.

Damn, she needs to chill out. She wouldn't even have that NC State job if it wasn't for Gary. He's made her a ton of money.

Ok, I looked this woman up on the internet. I feel I've been Donna Chnagstein'ed!! Yow? Yow? She's supposed to be Asian!

This was not a great hire, by the way. I liked Gottfried as a player. He was a gamer back then. But, as a coach he acted like he was "entitled" and mailed in the last few years.

I heard a lot of their fans are ecstatic, though.

Yow is a moron. Gary Williams doesn't need to sabotage the NC State job, they did it to themselves once they ran Herb Senderk out of town. AT NC State, you get leftovers from NC that don't go to Duke or UNC plus those two programs get national players so your already in a hole. Then you expect NC State to compete in the ACC and beat those two consistently?? Please if your smart, you don't want that job. That's why Shakka Smart didn't take it, build a power in Richmond or be a 3rd class fiddle in Raleigh....no one needs to sabotage NC State, they did that themselves.

It sure isn't the worst hire of the season. Missouri owns that. But it does show that NC State isn't nearly as highly thought of as NC State would like to believe.

How many coache's turned down the NC State job when they let Sendeck go? A LOT! and this was before Yow was the AD. No one wants to coach at NC State....and Gary doesn't need to convince anyone otherwise, regardless of who the AD is.

Didn't know you were an Aggie. Congrats on the win last night. Gary Blair is truly one of the great, class guys in sports. Maybe the worse move in the history of Arkansas athletics was to not renew his contract. Affirmative action set in and they thought they should bring in a woman coach.

I was wondering why Arky let him get away. He's sort of the Abe Lemmons of womens BB.

Then this is the solution.

HILLBILLY VASECTOMY

After their 11th child, an Alabama couple decided that was enough, as they could not afford a larger bed.

So the husband went to his veterinarian and told him that he and his cousin didn't want to have any more children.

The doctor told him that there was a procedure called a vasectomy that could fix the problem but that it was expensive. 'A less costly alternative,' said the doctor, 'is to go home, get a cherry bomb, (fireworks are legal in Alabama) light it, put it in a beer can(COORS), then hold the can up to your ear and count to 10.'

The Alabamian said to the doctor, 'I may not be the smartest tool in the shed, but I don't see how putting a cherry bomb in a beer can ne xt to my ear is going to help me.' 'Trust me,' said the doctor.

So the man went home, lit a cherry bomb and put it in a beer can.

He held the can up to his ear and began to count!

'1'
'2'
'3'
'4'
'5'

( you'll love this...)

At which point he paused, placed the beer can between his legs and continued counting on his other hand.

This procedure also works in Tennessee , Kentucky, Nebraska, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, West Virginia, Texas and Washington DC.
