Early in spring training, Angels manager Mike Scioscia was asked about the team's unspoken lack of confidence in closer Fernando Rodney. "If you're asking me how long the leash is going to be [for Rodney as closer], it's certainly not one blown save," Scioscia said then. Apparently, it was. Rodney walked the bases loaded and coughed up a two-run lead in Kansas City on Sunday, part of a three-game string of meltdowns by Angels relievers. Afterward, Scioscia said the Angels would "have to sort some things out" in their bullpen. That sorting has left Rodney out as closer. ... Rookie Jordan Walden will take over as closer for the time being and earned his first save of the season with a perfect ninth in Tuesday's 5-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.

ever since rodney come from detroit i knew he wasn't good but since tony reagins took over as a general manager has done nothing but wrong trades, wrong deals, and things will not get better till arte moreno fire this general manager, angels look much like the pirates on the past season!!
