08:06 AM ET 04.08 | File this with due diligence? Georgia WR A.J. Green is meeting with the Panthers Friday, the receiver told PFW in an interview. ... [Green] is being considered by Carolina for the top pick in the draft. He would complement WR Steve Smith and aid young QB Jimmy Clausen. If he is taken first overall, Green would be the first receiver taken atop the draft since Keyshawn Johnson in 1996. "I'm looking forward to meeting with some of the coaches and the GMs, but it's a long process," Green said. "I'm ready for it to be over and we can get back to playing football."

Sure...waste a No. 1 for a guy that you can't get the ball to Carolina.

Hope he has the ability but not the attitude.

I really hope Carolina does not give up on Clausen so quickly. He deserves an opportunity. Give him some weapons and protection, and he'll prove he's an NFL caliber QB.

I agree one hundred percent! How can that toss-pot find work as an analyst? It all astounds me. I once saw him working side-by-side Steve Young and totally disrespect Young's opinion on air. I think anytime someone disagrees with Matt Millen, he should just reply, "Detroit Lions." Really, isn't that all that needs to be said?

Any plans of Tony Dungy returning to coaching? If he's willing to leave another Super Bowl contender behind him, Green could be traded for draft picks in a few years.

Getting a top tier wide receiver does does no good at all if your quarterback is broken and bleeding behind a porous O-Line.
Teams are built on the line and there is a real beast from Alabama available that has top 5 value. Might not be all that sexy but a much better pick for the long term.
