08:14 AM ET 04.08 | According to Rob Dibble, Barry Bonds' teammates in Pittsburgh asked Reds pitchers to throw at Bonds. [Dibble] says that during Bonds' playing days in Pittsburgh (1986-92), Bonds' own teammates would ask opposing pitchers to hit Bonds. Dibble pitched for the Reds 1988-93. "When he was with the Pirates, his teammates would come to Norm Charlton and I and say, 'We'll give you a steak dinner if you hit him.'" Dibble says he never hit Bonds. ... Dibble also talks about why he left the Washington Nationals TV booth after being critical of rookie phenom Stepehn Strasburg on his satellite radio show. ("I never got fired. I'm still being paid.") Anyone heard of the Pirates pitchers making this special request before?

I think I'm entitled. Did you order the code red on Bonds!!? I want the truth. Did you order the code red?

April 8, 2011  09:48 AM ET

And they had Bobby Bonilla on their team. Bonds must be really bad.

April 8, 2011  09:50 AM ET

Let's see. Ty Cobb was probably the player most hated by his fellow players. Bonds is number 2 on that list. Who else would you put there?

We are talking about the Pirates!!! When was the last time they won anything??? I'm sure he is an A-S-S. By the way, it took the Goverment 8 years to complete their witch hunt on Barry. I don't know if he is guilty or innocent, but I do know that the goverment put up a sorry A-S-S case against Barry and wasted the taxpayers money.

I'll bet Arod and Curt Shilling would get a few votes.

No secret Slick didn't care for Bonds, and Jim Leyland too for that matter. Remember the whole Bonds photo opportunity blow-up? Most people don't expect others to be perfect but it would have been nice if Bonds had just met people half way. He was the center of his very own universe.

Dibble is an idiot. Why in the hell is he bringing up **** from 20 years ago!!!
