08:22 AM ET 04.09 | Before Friday, the question was whether star wide receiver Michael Floyd would play for Notre Dame at all in 2011 after sanctions from the school in the wake of a March arrest. Now it's likely a matter of when. Floyd has told people the school's Office of Residence Life did not suspend him after a decisive Friday hearing, a source who spoke with Floyd told the Tribune. Irish Illustrated also is reporting that Res Life did not issue a suspension, instead sanctioning Floyd with community service.

Well of course they aren't suspending him. Was there ever even a question?

...and since none of you guys have SEC speed, you couldn't even beat the spammers this morning!

Maybe he could get a job coaching Ohio State after he's done with his prison sentance when his drinking kills someone. I mean who forgives more than the Catholics do for their preists right.

No kidding. Why does everyone think this kid is an alcoholic.

From what I've gathered, this is an ongoing issue with the kid. He could just be getting caught more than others though.

It's the Media New mentality. Bad news sells better. Anytime anyone who is in the news gets busted on an alcohol related charge, everyone immediately assumes alcoholism and the need for therapy.

I lived with an alcoholic family member also, but not everyone who drinks has a problem. One thing I learned in therapy (that and it wasn't our fault)

DC, yes this is a tough one!!! IMO if any person is picked up for drinking on a regular basis then I would be a little worried about the person.

What an unfortunate, misguided comment. Next time, why don't you bring a little class to the table?

A priest.
