Inside Mavs on-court squabble

09:04 AM ET 04.09 | A potentially ugly situation involving Jason Terry erupted among the Mavericks during a timeout early in the second quarter of their 107-96 win over the Clippers. It started as a disagreement between Terry and J.J. Barea after Terry had turned the ball over and the Clippers scored for a 14-point lead. On the inbounds pass, Terry slowly rolled the ball to Barea, which rightfully irritated Barea. As coach Rick Carlisle called timeout with 9:54 to go in the half, Barea was yelling at Terry even before they got to the bench. Soon, Terry was yelling back, and several assistant coaches and players intervened. Carlisle clearly wasn't happy with what was transpiring. It appeared Carlisle was motioning Terry to leave the bench area. Terry took a seat at the far end of the bench, and players and assistant coaches continued to talk to him and keep him away from the main huddle. Terry sat the rest of the way, but in the second half, he was his usual, exuberant self on the bench, although he kept his distance from Barea.

The Mavs will have a hard time if they face the Griz or the Blazers. Another 1st round upset. New Orleans would be the only team in the bottom seeding that would be an easier opponent because of the D.West's loss.

why bother talking about the mavs? I like dirk but if he's your center piece that means your soft at the core. Name one team with a soft core to win a nba championship? Doesnt work that way

I'd take Barea over Terry at this time of the year. We should call Terry "Mr. Disappear". He talks too much and disappears in the playoffs. He sucks big time. I wouldn't mind if he is suspended for the whole year. Barea is a spark off the bench and he is the only player that attacks the rim. The Roddy experiment has to be shut down this year and maybe let Corey Brewer start at the 2 for defense and length...

Not a single point do I disagree with, Bro.

Terry's head is not right with ball... and because he is already a huge defensive liability, he serves no purpose being the first off the bench. He and Roddy should be shown nice seats at the end of the bench and told to stay there.

As long as mark cuban owns the team they will not win an NBA title. The guy is a lower and the players take the owner's identity. The guy can't dance worth a crap either.

Terry will go MIA along with Carlos Boozer in the playoffs.

Don't say that too loud, according to Mavs fans he's supposed to be the 2nd coming.

Take that in the Locker Room everybody is watching, Mavs will be just fine! they will go deep into the playoff's watch and see could win it all if the Bench shows up and they can get Caron Butler back.....Go Mavs....
