10:13 AM ET 04.09 | Denny Hamlin has a new tire changer. "We had the same pit crew for the last two to three years and we've been up and down. At their best, they are the best, but it was trying to get to that point. We have changed a guy. We brought up (Nick Krizmanich, front tire changer), he's from the #11 Nationwide team, we're trying out him and one other guy and he kind of seemed a step above the rest.

There's our new story. A race on tonight and we get a change of one guy in a pit crew story. Whooopie Well, I guess with all the crew changes, Hendrick and Harvick, they must figure this is news.

Just a little shot across the bow of the rest of the #11 team is how I see it. I'm very surprised that Hamlin is having as much difficulty as he is this year. Gonna be a long climb back into contention.

Edwards has a series-high three wins at Texas. What should make his car particularly fast this weekend is his Ford FR-9 engine. This engine, which debuted last year, has an excellent cooling system. This gives drivers an advantage because it allows the Ford teams to put more tape on the front grill than the non-Ford teams, which provides the Fords with more downforce and, therefore, more speed through the corners

You could see in the qualifiers yesterday that Ford was ready to run and run fast. This is the type of track they like. Perhaps Denny is going to pull a Jooonya and play musical crew chiefs.

No, he's not. They tried to turn him into NASCAR's "bad boy" and he played along for a while, but he has been very vocal lately in saying he can't afford to be the bad boy any longer. It was all a put up job whose run is over.
You'll have to find another reason to be a "real" Kyle fan. Then again, real Kyle fans already know this.....
