08:11 AM ET 04.11 | Almost as soon as it happened, news of Monta Ellis' hard fall hit the Twittersphere and put a 36-win season in jeopardy. Golden State will have to try for No. 36 [Monday] at Denver likely without their best player. [Ellis] will not travel with the team for tonight's game at the Nuggets after sustaining a head injury late in Sunday's loss. While the team headed to the airport, Ellis headed to the hospital for further examination. Ellis' head slammed against the hardwood with 58.9 seconds left after a drive to the basket. He was undercut by Sacramento big man DeMarcus Cousins, who was trying to take a charge. Ellis remained down for a few moments. When he tried to get up, he staggered noticeably and had to be supported. He eventually was helped off the court and checked out without taking his free throws.

Imagine that Cousins had something to do with it....

That was a terrible fall man, I hope he's ok. Not that GSW are going anywhere, but falls like that can have long-term effects. Good Luck bro!

Hope he is alright....

Imagine that you actually saw the play to know that there was nothing dirty about it.....

It's a legal play so I careless so its all good. I must admit I was very happy to see Pierce's elbow in Lebron's jaw lastnight...

Cousin's did what's done half a dozen times every game......he stepped in to draw the charge.

The only problem was that he was late in making his rotation.

The fact that Ellis got hurt falls squarely in the category of '**** happens'.

Your opinion on this is swayed by the poor choice of words used by the writter.

But as you stated....."whatever".

Don't worry, that same elbow will be in 'Melo's neck in the first round. And speaking of which, you must like JO because he certainly has turned into one of the dirtiest players on the planet with that play on LeBron; he didn't even go for the ball. But, then again, he was probably mad they were gettin' their butts whooped!
