08:09 AM ET 04.11 | There's a new owner in town, though it remains to be seen whether any rearranging of the furniture includes John Kuester. Kuester said [Sunday] he wants to return for the final season of the three-year contract he signed when he was hired in the summer of 2009. "It's been a challenging time, there's no question," Kuester said. "There have been a number of circumstances that I think everybody is aware of that has made for an interesting year -- not only on the team but outside the team, and stuff like that, with the ownership. I think now moving forward, yeah. I think there are pieces to this puzzle that I think can make this team very competitive." But will Kuester be the guy going forward? That would seem to be highly unlikely, considering his 56-106 record. And beyond the dearth of victories, the public nature of players' dislike of Kuester is another strike against him.

If they knew what was smart they would take your access card as soon as the last game is over and escort you out the building....

I expect him to be fired, but how can you win with no C, PF, and no true pg?

Agreed. Pistons may pickup one of these in the draft. Another must come from a trade.

To be honest, if joe D doesn't tuen over the roster, it don't really matter who's coaching themI expect him to be fired, but how can you win with no C, PF, and no true pg?

Well Greg Monroe takes care of one of those positions but indeed we need a true pg and another big.

Greg Monroe the rookie, did well at pF, and if last year rookie Jonas Jerebko, who did not play this season after strained his right Achilles'' tendon in Preseason come back has his backup. ...

Then with the draft pick get Walker at pG ....

but, Kuester needs to be GONE ..... cause players on other teams, take notice of the Coach - Player problems .... and Detroit CAP will only be $47.8m or with RFA Stuckey $3.8m more

I place 90% of the blame on the players. But it's time for new blood all the way around. Sorry coach!

I don't like this Walker's fit in Detroit. For one, I'm not convinced he's a PG. I think he's probably a 6th-man type scoring guard. Detroit has plenty of those.

If Detroit gets lucky in the lotto and has a shot at Irving, that'll be the pick. Otherwise, I exped the Pistons to go "big" on draft night.

Is Mike Brown looking?

Its sad to have witnessed the Pistons go from the most solid/consistant franchise in the east to a walking nightmare. The biggest drop off has been the Billups to Stuckey transistion. You cant be a good team when the dumbest player on your team is your pg/floor general. There is an endless pool of extremely gifted athletes out there but in order to make it in the NBA you have to have a good basketball IQ. Stuckey has no such IQ. He needs to go see the wizard of OZ to get that brain!!
