Moss-to-Jets picks up steam

08:05 AM ET 04.12 | A weekend report unearthed Rex Ryan's interest in Randy Moss, which seems to have been confirmed. The off-the-field headaches Moss can bring with his me-first attitude don't concern Ryan in the least. ... According to multiple league insiders, the interest the Jets have in Moss is twofold. One, it could help them weather the very real possibility of losing at least one of their three free-agent receivers: Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards and Brad Smith. Two, it would keep Moss from returning to the Patriots, whom he is known to want to re-join. Let's face it: there is very little that Ryan does without considering how it would help him beat the Pats. He makes no secret about his obsession with getting the upper hand over Bill Belichick.

I think Rex, for all the complaints about him, does have some good plans on working with and being successful with those who have been problem children in the NFL. However, that being said, Moss is whole other level of dysfunction. Run away from this guy, feets don't fail ya' now, Rex!

Moss is a perfect fit for the Jits (disgruntled loudmouth, crybaby, castoff from another team)

Rex might be good with misfits, but how many is too many? Besides, at least his other misfits seem like they want to play hard...Randy is anything but a good foot soldier.

I am thinking the Jets would be willing to pay his salary if the Jets promise to sign him.

Never say never. There is still snow in my yard here in Patriot Land.
That said, they let him go for a reason, and it didn't hurt their game.

And I thought you meant the Jets would be willing to pay his salary if the Pats promise to sign him.
Look what this guy did for the Vikings and Titans. I can imagine his agent saying, "But look - Randy Moss on your team almost guarantees a high draft pick in 2012."

Pats have moved on. BB does not bring guys back that he has let go. At least I can't think of anyone.
