Rift growing among Packers directors
There's a potential rift building between the Green Bay Packers Executive Committee and its board of directors over the search for the team's next president and chief executive officer. Interviews this week with sources in the NFL, the Packers organization and the Green Bay community suggest a significant portion of the team's 45-person board of directors is concerned about the type of candidate the team's search committee will recommend, as well as the possible diminution of Chairman Bob Harlan's role as an adviser in the selection process.

This article is a case of TMI. Next they will be reporting how their is a rift between the Packer Xerox distributor and the guys down in the Greenbay tech services department...because the tech guys want to go with glossy 8x12 paper and the Xerox distributor clearly states that the X11019282 requires an 8x12 papyrus blend of non-glossy.

Didn't we have this same article weeks ago? Again, 45 people on the BOD? You gotta be kidding. Nothing can get accomplished with a board that size. Coca-Cola has 12, GM has 13, Microsoft has 10. 45?

There is also some rift about the coffee and doughnuts served at the meeting and the reading material in the john.

I didn't know Pimpy had inside knowledge of the Packer organization.
Either way, I, like Loki124, will take the job.

Total nonsense -- winning never destroyed an organization. The team is 9-1 and has a legitimate shot at securing home field advantage. This is a problem every organization should have.

What's the deal with the BOD having 45 people? I think there are only 75 people in Green Bay, isn't there?

Giants fan, while funny.... um, no. There are plenty of reasons why Green Bay is a great place and such a storied franchise city.
I do agree that 45 people on a BOD committee is a ridiculous number. Thisandthat brought up a good point on larger corporations BOD numbers and the Packers should follow suit.
