Rondo has lost it, C's along with him

08:08 AM ET 04.13 | Danny Ainge likely wouldn't have shipped Kendrick Perkins off if he knew the trade would be so tied to the Celtics' slump, which itself seems tied to Rajon Rondo. About 10 minutes ago, Rondo vs. Derrick Rose was considered a fairly even matchup. Now it's as one-sided as Charlie Sheen against a New York heckler. On Thursday in Chicago, as the Bulls rolled over the Celtics, Rose toyed with Rondo. ... For whatever reason, Rondo has lost it. And as Rondo goes, so goes the Celts offense. On Sunday in Miami, Rondo had one hoop, one free throw and one assist halfway through the third quarter. By then, the Celtics were out of the game and out of the race for the No. 2 seed. The Bulls and Heat did to the Celtics what the Celtics used to do to all comers: They ripped the C's heart out and stomped it flat.

If Ainge didn't realize when he was making the trade that moving Perkins would hurt the team....well maybe we've been giving him too much credit all along

Don't tell me that this team and Rondo are that fragile? Trades happen its part of the game. Yes your friend is gone. You have to move on from it.

I still feel like Rose is unhappy about the Perkins trade. All season they played with heart waiting for their fellow warrior to get back and then Ainge trades him. I think it messed his head up.

I bet you meant Rondo.... anyways the series hasn't started yet and Celts are already making excuses. Ainge needs to fire himself for admitting if he had known. Too late... the stakes were too high and it's definitely too late to fix the blunder. They need to fire him. Knicks over Celts for sure...

Lol, Rondo VS Rose is a even matchup. Your talking about an MVP versus and above average player. Funny Stuff.

He and Doc River have been given to much credit for the past few years. The season before they picked up Allen and Garrnet fans wanted to chace them out of town with pitch forks. Remember they had a 18 game losing streak that season. Delonte West said the team was tanking games to get the first or second pick in the draft that year. Its amazing what happen when you win a championship. It makes everything all right.

I really don't think you can rip a championship team's heart out in the regular season;

You are not allowed to speak on matters of the heart...it's too intimate... do you believe in god? do you watch cartoons? do you believe in love?

the celtics limped into the post season last year and it worked out (almost)...may not be the same this year, but it'll be interesting to see.

I guess people don't realize that Perkins played less than 10 games for the Celtics this year... This Perkins trade analysis has got to stop.
