Yet another Lakers concern: Chicken pox

08:07 AM ET 04.13 | The Lakers can hope Steve Blake, out one or two weeks, is the only player on their roster to get chicken pox. Andrew Bynum, Ron Artest and Kobe Bryant never had chicken pox and it isn't clear whether they have had vaccines for the illnesses, but Bynum was the only one who confirmed that fact to reporters. Artest said he had the illness when he "was a baby," and Bryant smiled while dropping an expletive when asked if he's already had chicken pox. To stave off all the absents, the Lakers added Trey Johnson and Derrick Caracter from the Bakersfield Jam. Either way, all the unforeseen adversities adds further anxiety to a team that technically ended its five-game losing streak, but exhibited the same horrific play.

So Bynum got hurt last night? UH OH!!!!

It would be funny if the chicken pox caused the Lakers to get bounced early from the playoffs.

Going into the playoffs Lakers and Celts are making grown folks excuses - it's chicken pox and rondo's state of mind fellas... that's all he wrote.

They are lucky Pop was drunk last night. Gneal and Ghill should have been on that floor to try for the win. Only down 5 with 4 mins left and Pop reinserts the 3rd stringers.

Not saying they would have won the game, but at least give the starters of that game a chance to win it. What in the hell was Quinn and Green doing out there???

Bynum is probably a bigger concern now.
