I was thinking the same thing. I don't know of anywhere else a GM in any sport could say that and still have a job the next morning.

Why is Keith Acton still an assistant coach with the Leafs? This is a question which never gets asked.
He has been there since 2001 and has been under 3 head coachs Quinn, Maurice and Wilson. Does he have an in with the Teachers Pension Fund which ownes 60% of MLSE?

I'm actually on his side here. And I like the blunt-ness of it too.

I've ranted about this before, but it can't be easy listening to assinine question after assinine question at these press conferences. Or questions that are asked on a daily/weekly basis. He deserves to get upset about it. The media - especially the hockey media in Toronto - are pathetic and unimaginative. Its a re-tread of the same questions over and over again, and I would lose my mind too.

On keeping Wilson: why fire someone for the sake of firing him? The team is still a bunch of no-heart, little talents, so why pay 2 coaches to not make the playoffs when you can get away with just paying one? Wilson dug his own grave for next season yesterday when he stated the Leafs are only a piece or 2 away from being Cup contenders. Paul Maurice said that once too.
