Neuheisel: UCLA has skill to run option

08:27 AM ET 04.14 | Rick Neuheisel is looking at his options -- rather, he is looking at the option. On the offensive side of the ball, the Bruins worked on some option in Tuesday's practice. Richard Brehaut and Brett Hundley each got a turn to run the option during a live scrimmage portion of practice. We'll likely see some of that tomorrow as well. "It's a great play if you can execute it. It all comes down to being careful with the football. It draws up well but it has to be executed and that's why we're spending the time to do that now." ... "I think we've got personnel for just about everything. We've got enough skill, we've got enough speed. We can throw and catch and we can run." Whether or not the option becomes a consistent part of the offense remains to be seen.

Silly article. Your average HS can run an option.
The real question is can they do it against solid teams and score points with it? Hard to see the QB's that have been recruited to go to UCLA as option type guys-maybe they have a RB or WR with a good arm.

What Skippy is saying then is we can be as good as most high school teams this year, he just wishes that is who they were playing.

They can run the option...but can they make any yards and score running it.
Old basketball quote. "This year we played the run and shoot. Next year we hope to play the run, shoot and score."

My kids wanna know if the hamster cage comes with the hamster or not. And if JustSayin' is willing to deal on the price.
They are tough negotiators, they watch Bill Shatner's commercials all the time.

Don't let them watch the Travel Channel. In Peru they serve Guinea Pig on a stick out of street carts like you or I would buy a hot dog.
<In best Homer Simpson voice> MMMMMMMMM Guinea Pig.

If UCLA runs the option, can the Longhorns stop it? Can they even slow it down? Whatever they ran last year against texas, they should run it this season against texas. It worked damned fine, so why mess with sucess?
