Jets fans perform lewd halftime show

In what has become a ritual at Jets home games, men at a Gate D pedestrian ramp chant to women to expose their breasts. At halftime of the Jets' home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, several hundred men lined one of Giants Stadium's two pedestrian ramps at Gate D. Three deep in some areas, they whistled and jumped up and down. Then they began an obscenity-laced chant, demanding that the few women in the gathering expose their breasts. When one woman appeared to be on the verge of obliging, the hooting and hollering intensified. But then she walked away, and plastic beer bottles and spit went flying. Boos swept through the crowd of unsatisfied men. A guard later said they were not permitted to do anything about the chants at Gate D because of free speech laws. Yet when a reporter tried to interview two security guards after halftime, he was detained in a holding room, threatened with arrest and asked to hand over his tape recorder.

a matter of time until an attorney decides, "nfl clubs need to be responsible for the actions of its fans when they sell booze." and lines up to litigate the jets.

Were they at 'Gate D' because they thought they'd see bigger b**bs? If so, New York fans are Wicked Smaht. ;)

Typical Sports Illustrated trash. You can always expect this website to focus on the most tawdry story, no matter how trivial, on any given day.

Just take a look at all the celebrity-obsessed bilge on SI.com. This non-story is par for the course.

Hey, since when is it a bad thing for guys to want to see a set of knockers?
Apparently some women do show them, since this seems to take place with regularity...

good one.

ICanDieNow......I hope you Patriot fans are savoring all of your team's wins. The day will eventually come when the Pats are as lousy as the Jets, and the only friend you'll have is a fellow Pats fan. If you doubt me, just ask a 49ers fan....that is, if you can find one.

Brad, it's actually a NYT story, not SI.

November 20, 2007  08:49 AM ET

Funny thing is everyone will forget this and still talk about how Philly fans booed Santa. Yeah whatever....

What else do Jets fans have to amuse themselves while watching a 2-8 team? I think they were mathematically eliminated by mid-season. LMAO!
