08:56 AM ET 04.17 | Yes, the Browns are telling the truth when it comes to their commitment to Colt McCoy. The last thing they want at this stage is another young quarterback in the mix -- and a replay of the Brady Quinn/Derek Anderson situation where there are two young quarterbacks and neither develops.

I still say, sign Hasselbeck and let Colt start. If Colt fails then at least you have a somewhat good QB to take over for him. Besides Holmgren knows what Matt can do.

I'm glad they're committed to him. Now, for the love of God, get him some linemen to protect him. Did anyone else see their game against the Steelers late in the season? It should have been ended for humanitarian reasons!

How many times is this topic going to be posted. Hell yeah they are committed to him. Any talks about Newton or Gabbert are simply for trade bait. And the line is decent, as much as I hate to say it, the Steelers make a lot of O-Lines look bad.

Does this mean the Browns have learned from their previous mistakes and may just right their ship? Wow! Maybe they could sell that knowledge to other bumbling franchises ...

Colt's first start in the NFL was the Steeler game. Talk about a Baptism under fire. All things considered he did fairly well with what he had to work with.

Some franchises are simply made to bumble. Ask the beleaguered fans of the Bengals and the Cardinals.

It always starts at the top. It's amazing how much damage bad ownership can cause.

What contribution did your two posts make to this thread? The Browns franchise has been very relevant through their history. Albeit they have struggled since returning in 1999.

No offense, but the Browns team that was once relevant is now the Ravens. The current incarnation has never been.

Not a bad idea there.
