09:00 AM ET 04.17 | Mike Woodson's contract was not renewed last season by Atlanta general manager Rick Sund, who believed Larry Drew was capable of leading the team to the next level. But according to league sources, unless the Hawks turn in a positive performance against the Magic in their first-round series, Drew's job may be in jeopardy.

Wow. Howard manages to score 40+ points and still be a big reason behind his teams loss. Shocking...

Try to say less obvious things that show your lack of knowledge of the game.Howard was not "a big reason" behind the loss. The rest of the team (sans Nelson) didn't show up.

The formula used to beat Orlando apparently is to force Howard to win the game by staying home on his shooters. The result is that eventually Howard will get frustrated, miss free throws, take stupid fouls, nearly get tossed from the game and all in all not inspire his team mates to victory. Nelson > Howards will to win. Otherwise this is embarrassing.

I totally agree with you. I dont want to get into an MVP debate, but in my opinion that is the difference between these two. Rose also needs help, but Howard's ability to win the game at all cost is not as great. He needs a legit closer to negate the formula that is being used to against him. That said. Once the playoffs are over. I will trade you Noah, boozer, a bench player and as many draft picks you want for Howard.

Playoff basketball is a different animal. If not for DRose heroics the #1 Bulls would have lost to the #8 seed. That would have been embarrassing.

Why would that have been embarrassing? Two year ago Chicago was the eight seed and they went into Boston the beat the Celtic's in game one. Boston wasn't embarrassed, they just came back and played better. Game one is the easiest game to steal.

But that didn't happen, because Chicago has Rose.

I honestly don't think the coach is the problem at the Hawks. They capitulated at the end of the regular season like they did last season, so it really is a player motivation issue. He will stay. I might even go as far as saying the Hawks may actually win this first round match up.

No kidding, I'm already sick of Carlos Boozer. I knew he was a bad defender but the last month or so he has also been a turnover machine.
