Britt's father worries about Jersey influence

09:27 AM ET 04.17 | Kenny Britt's dad, Jack Britt is concerned. His son's on-field performance -- he had 42 receptions for 775 yards and nine touchdowns last season, despite missing four games with a hamstring injury -- has shown he can be a dominant NFL receiver. But what happens when he isn't playing football, and how might that affect his career? After his spring break, Jack Britt said Kenny will return home to Nashville with one of his brothers in tow. Maybe that will help. Maybe then, things will be different. ???I???m worried about him all the time,??? Jack Britt said. ???But my concern is not with Kenny, per se, it???s more with Kenny???s friends, and he knows that. He has too many friends with too much free time. ???He needs to be around more positive people.???

Jersey influence? He hangin' with Snooki and friends? I'd worry about that too!

He's a big part of the Titans' future. I'm sure they're concerned too. Now, Tennessee just needs to find someone to throw him the ball, unless they want to keep Kenny Collins. Isn't he collecting Social Security at this point?

You are who you roll with ...

Wonder if Daddy isn't a little worried about the gravy train...

Britt's father worries about Jersey influence? I would think he's talking about "CREEPY".

It sounds like there's still some more work for his daddy to do. He best step in before Britt re-stakes his claim on his old bedroom or a couch in the basement.

Jersey influence??? Garbage. He lived and was raised here. If anything his background should motivate him to do well. Jersey is a Great State.

It's definitely in the top 50.

He's a grownass man making childass decisions like so many fools do. Nice to see his pops speaking out. If what pops is saying about the friends is right then I have a message for you Kenny. Your going to be in the principles office a few times and miss a few paychecks.

Britt has always had problems, even in college. It's not his environment, it's him. This guy could be sealed in a vault and end up getting popped for DUI.

A little too late to be worryin' about him now, pops, he's a grown man. If you raised him right and taught him how to think for himself, you shouldn't have to worry too much. Even if he screws up, which all of us will do at some time in our lives, he'll learn from it & figure out how not to make the same mistake again, including hanging around with the wrong people. If not, not much you can do now except stand by with a dustpan waiting to pick up the pieces.

Wonder if Daddy isn't a little worried about the gravy train.. Kenny needs to get out of the hood!! He dedicated himself to being the best, and his loser friends are just hanging on to his dreams, they need to go get their own!!

Daddy should be commended for worrying about his son's future!! How many dads say nothing about their children!!

April 17, 2011  04:13 PM ET

Britt needs a man in his life. Not his daddy, but a man who can give this clown a wake-up call.

He needs to take a hard look back at the lives of Donte Stallworth, LT, Todd Marinovich, Chris Henry and other NFl-ers who threw their lives away. He can be the G.O.A.T. ("Greatest Of All Time") either on the field or off the field; looks like we know which "goat" he's becoming.

How about Kenny do something like grow up?
