10:51 AM ET 04.17 | Robby Gordon was MIA at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, leaving Sam Hornish Jr. to qualify the No. 7 Fast Five/Speed Energy Dodge. Gordon was enjoying the scenery at the Long Beach Grand Prix in Southern California. Following qualifying, Hornish's time was disallowed when the car did not pass the height sticks in inspection for being too low in front.

So, he goes to the back of the pack. He would have been there anyways no matter where the car qualified. Thems the rules.

not a fan either..

I do like the plate tracks, but 2 or more hours of this pushing, gets tiresome.....but, it does make me appreciate the other tracks more.

Rickapolis, yes Robby looks much older and chunkier in that pic.

Good Race today, for the last 25 or 30 laps that is. Didn't care for the winner though. Jr is looking damn good sofar this year. He kept JJ going and gave him the lead with a bump at the end.

yeah being 3rd in points now shows he is a real threat this year. I just wish it wasnt johnson who won. That could be big when the chase begins which sux bc I want harvick to beat him in the chase. Of course he beat him all year and the old points system, but hopefully he can beat him in the stupid 10 race season this year.

plate tracks isnt racing...when you are only as fast as whoever is pushing you, thats ot racing...put them at Charlotte, Richmond, Texas, heck, even a road coarse is better than the plate racing now..
and re Robby Gordon, why doesnt he just hang it up?

Jr knows his role.

Great finish. But the tandems have to go.

QUOTE(#50):

He's the pitcher, not the receiver. He's the pusher not the pushee. Sometimes I get the feeling that Jr. is a bit slow, seems like it would take him 2 hours to watch 60 minutes. Bless his heart.

Smirk.....
