Julien coaching his final B's games?

08:23 AM ET 04.18 | From Tim Thomas rebounds to Zdeno Chara's illness, the Bruins are in trouble, and their head coach may wind up paying. This city wasn't so much in shock Sunday as it was shuffling aimlessly with resignation. There is a dreadful feeling in Boston that their blue-collar heroes, whose monumental playoff collapse against the Philadelphia Flyers last season still aches, are about to break their springtime hearts. Again. ... Now, two games in, the coach himself is in the crosshairs. And it isn't merely the open-line chowdah-heads who are saying that he might have directed his final game for the Bruins in Boston. A few mostly reasonable voices have suggested that anything short of advancing to the Eastern final will mean the trap door for a good man whose teams inexplicably buckle meekly in the pressure of the playoffs.

Two more losses between now and Thursday and I'd say yeah.

Can they lose four straight two years in a row?

No law says they can't although the Canadiens, to a man, said after game two that they hadn't won anything yet, they just have a 2-0 lead. Teams have come back from 0-2 deficit before (although the Bruins never did).

no, but hard to the B's winning this series

bye bye Clod

maybe it's time they tried?

I am curious to see what Clod does with the lineup, because it is clearly not working right now.

They can break that infamous record next year...

I'd be more concerned if both games were blow ups, but losing by a couple speaks volumes to the team's make up. Having a tough team is good, but if they can't put the puck in the net, doesn't do them much good. Personally, I would rather have a team that can skate and move the puck well and isn't overly physical during the playoffs. The refs seem to clamp down during the playoffs and the penalty kill gets everyone off their game. IMO.

I'd say he's done regardless. One more series won't make a difference.

The only way Jullien stays is, if by some miracle, the Bs make it to the SC finals. Anything less is a failure.

Cammalleri's already announcing they are going to win the Stanley Cup. They may have to win 2 more games first.
He's also said the Bruins have no chance to win a game.
Anything can happen...Habs getting arrogant can only help the Bruins

Serious consideration is being advocated by the City to have the Boston Massacre Site moved to center ice at the TD Bank North...From the food vendors a new treat is being offered...
Jullien Fried...;)

Yeah...I'm sure Mike said that.

I hope you're right. I have been ready for a new coach since early in the season.

Julien back to NJ next year?

April 18, 2011  10:18 AM ET

To say the atmosphere in Montreal will be "electric" when the puck is dropped is a vast understatement. I don't imagine Claude will even want to come back if the Habs win. Probably volunteer to get a condo in Guantanamo.

If the Bruins go down in 4, at least VS. will carry the Pens/TB or Buff/Flyers. I haven't seen the Pens once in the postseason!

I was impressed by the Canadiens after the second win. You're right.........all business, nothing cocky. Just work hard and drop the puck. I'm thinking things look dim for the Bruins. I think I'll stay out of Beantown for a while. With the Red Sox also a bit down, not a happy place?

April 18, 2011  10:27 AM ET

The Montreal Gazette better hope the Canadiens can back up the Gazette's words. It will be funny to see what they say if Boston finds it's game and wins the next two.
