Denver aiming to find four starters

08:04 AM ET 04.18 | It is a feat the Broncos haven't accomplished in years. The team's top football exec, John Elway, and general manager Brian Xanders say they need four future starters out of this draft. The Broncos' last legitimate four-starter-or-more draft was 2006, when they selected Jay Cutler, Tony Scheffler, Brandon Marshall, Elvis Dumervil and Chris Kuper from among, yes, seven picks. ... Too often there has been a disconnect between the information the Broncos have had and the information they have actually used -- see: Maurice Clarett with a third-round pick or Jarvis Moss with the 17th pick of the 2007 draft, or almost any of the draft-day trades over the last two years.

Could they update that photo?

The Twins need pitchers! but nope!

Shouldn't every team say "We are looking for 7 starters?" Like, is Denver seriously planning to find 4 good guys and 3 complete turds?

QUOTE(#10):

They are going to need more than that but it's a start. I really dont expect much out of the Broncos in 2011, if there is a season.

6-10 season to be exact.

Just four that's it? Come on.

What team enters the draft with the #2 pick and says HMMM I hope we get a decent back up?

That's the kind of positive thinking that will get them a high draft pick next year, too.

Aim low, that way you won't be disappointed

April 18, 2011  10:13 AM ET

don't most teams need at least an upgrade at 4 positions? not many get that in the same draft...nice ambition, but they will have to be very lucky, I'd say...

a lot of teams are looking for 4 starters.....they're called top of the draft teams

Any team not looking for 4 starters is clueless...

Now, hitting on 4 starters... there's the rub.

Every team is looking for starters - but 4 out of 7? - Gimme a break Elway.
If you can manage to come away with two starters out of 7 picks, your draft is considered a HUGE success

Man Josh ruined this team so much for the Belichick brain trust two strike outs waiting on a third ...
