Boudreau: Stop running our goalie

08:24 AM ET 04.18 | The Caps weren't so much upset about Brandon Dubinsky's mustache -- er, his strong move to the net for a late game-winner. Instead, coach Bruce Boudreau was more irked with the way the Rangers were bumping and thumping Caps goalie Michal Neuvirth for much of the game. "Every time after there was something in front of the net and a scrum, they were hitting our goalie," Boudreau said. "It just got to a point, you know. [The officials] kept warning them not to do it and not to do it. They kept doing it and nothing was done so they kept doing it. It's pretty simple." So is the math. If the Caps lose Game 4 on Wednesday, the series will be even at two games apiece.

If it isn't Torts whining it's Boudreau. If the goalie doesn't like being bumped, a hack on the top of the skate is sure to get someone attention. And if done properly, ends the b.s. as the skater will have 4 - 6 weeks to recover from a broken foot. Or better yet...run Lundquist...if he goes down, the chances for the Rangers goes down as well.

The Caps finally see a fair game get called by the refs and this guy is whining? They called goaltender interference once in the game and as usual Ovechkin got away with slashing the crap out of everyone in sight. I didn't see this guy whine when Zuccarella got a boarding call in game one and the Cap never actually hit the boards. Later Zuc gets face planted into the boards and there was no call. Lundqvist got knocked around almost every game down the stretch.

The game was only ref'd fair in the eyes of Ranger fans. A few of those calls on the Caps were pure BS and soft, especially for a playoff game. But things end up evening out, so I expect the Rags to be complaining after a game 4 loss.

You're a known Ranger hater so they get a couple of calls in one game and the calls are "soft". Typical. The call on Gaborik was soft as well. When the one ref got hurt the replacement ref seemed to call it differently. The refs are doing fine in this series and are not effecting the outcome. The league also got the "no goal" call right yesterday.
No one has run this goalie. A bump here and there is not running him.
