07:59 AM ET 04.20 | Bills GM Buddy Nix and his VP of college scouting, Tom Modrak, dropped plenty of hints during a pre-draft luncheon on Tuesday. Chief among them was the moment when Nix was asked to choose between pass rusher and run stopper as his biggest need. ... "I don't think you're going to get where you want to be obviously unless you stop the run," Nix said. "And then you rush the passer. I don't know if that's giving you an answer or not, but it kind of goes back to need. That's probably the best I can do as far as telling you where we'd be on that." Now Nix didn't flash you his full hand right there but he did give you a little bit of a clue. Assuming the various mock drafts inhabiting the internet and various publications right now aren't all completely off base, the consensus top three picks in whatever order will be Auburn QB Cam Newton, Alabama DT Marcell Dareus and Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller.

They put a lot of points on the board last season. Fitzpatrick may not be the most talented guy out there, but the offense played with a lot of heart and scared a few teams. They lost three, count 'em, three games in OT.
They do need a new owner, though. They can only patch the zombie-flesh falling off Ralph with Bondo so many times.

Either Miller or Dareus would be a welcome addition to that team... I'm just not so sure about that "stop the run first" theory in today's league.

The unfortunate thing about the Bills is that other than the secondary and the backfield, this team needs help in virtually every department...don't you think that since this is the case, the best option is simply take the best player available when the Bills are up? Regardless of their method, they HAVE to improve in choosing players....they can't afford any other selections like McCargo, Losman, Lynch, Williams, etc., etc.
