08:05 AM ET 04.20 | Considered in jest, maybe Carson Palmer's plan all along was to get his brother a job. It remains to be seen whether Jordan Palmer replaces his brother, Carson, as the Bengals' starting quarterback but he's assuming the role at least on an interim basis. Jordan Palmer will host many of the Bengals' receivers, tight ends and running backs for offseason workouts next week at his former high school in Mission Viejo, Calif. "I've got them staying in a hotel, got a trainer and everything set up for them," Palmer told the Associated Press in a phone interview. "It should be good to take some steps in the right direction. It's my first thing, really, as a leader. I want to be the guy, so I'm just trying to do those things." As the backup to his brother in Cincinnati last season, Jordan Palmer played sparingly.

Get rid of one Palmer, and you got one waiting in the wings, brilliant.

Doubt he's thinking that far ahead.

April 20, 2011  08:13 AM ET

Would you do that to your own brother?

Nepotism in the NFL???

Why not invite Jenn Sterger, too? Make sure you've got good cell service in the hotel, though.

My question is WHY???

Hello 0-18!!

April 20, 2011  09:53 AM ET

Some brother he has... setting him up for a job he won't take millions for. Carson, Carson, Carson... shame, shame, shame

April 20, 2011  09:58 AM ET

Cinncy bringing in little Palmer (HeeHee) was another example of them trying to please big Palmer. If I were GM I'd send him packing too.

April 20, 2011  10:19 AM ET

could they not even be bothered to find a photo?

April 20, 2011  10:41 AM ET

This is truly shameless.
