Although he insisted he wasn't bothered by the boos, Franklin clearly was disappointed by the fans' behavior. "Sure, I hear it," said Franklin, who has permitted four homers in 6 2/3 innings this season. ... "You don't boo your own team. I don't care who you are or what you say. Just because you spent your money to come here and watch us play and somebody happens to make one bad pitch and gives up a homer, you don't start booing them? I've been here for five years and four years, I've been pretty good. You should go write stories about the fans booing. They're supposed to be the best fans in baseball. Yeah, right."

Of course we fans can be fickle as well as it's really what have you done for us lately. A player can have a great year but if he's lousy in the playoffs he'll still get booed but it comes with the territory. If you want to make the big bucks then you have to perform as well, not many free rides out there.

Franklin's #1 pitch this year.....the urinater.....he throws it up there and they knock the p_iss out of it......retire Franklin, you are terrible. You had one good/fluke year last year. You couldnt pitch for most teams, we just have you because we dont like to pay people and love to hire washed-up has-beens and try to make them all-stars

It's not my way to boo my own team, I don't feel like it helps anybody to do that but it is something that should be expected from people when they spend their hard earned money on a ticket. It's reality.
