Vince Young suffered a quad contusion on Monday night and may miss some practice time this week, but Coach Jeff Fisher said he expects the quarterback to play against the Bengals on Sunday in Cincinnati. Fisher said the injury is different than the right quad strain Young suffered running out of bounds against Tampa Bay on Oct. 14. He was knocked out of that game and missed the following game at Houston.

Don't tear your Quad Vince.....It SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wish that the Titans can lure in a good WR, draft another in the first two rounds and a Steady TE. If VY has weapons he can play better!

Even though the Titans have recent losses, Vince Young has been playing great. He can be a pocket-passer, a roll-out passer or a great runner! Triple-threat QB. If the Titans surround him with a good cast of players, the sky is the limit.

Is there another Quaterback in the NFL who could throw for 5 TDs and 12 Interceptions on the year, have a rating of 62.5 and be held in such high regard?
His running abilities from the position are special, but his passing has been Grossmanesqe.

November 21, 2007  09:11 AM ET

if he is hurt, why waste VY against the bengals. most college teams could beat the bungals with the way their defense is playing.

This is going to be an interesting time in Vince's career. It appears the honeymoon is over. For the first time in his career he is actually receiving some criticism, and he doesn't seem to be taking it well. The whole "Vince just wins" is over because the Titans are losing and his passing stats are terrible. It was proably more appropriate to say the "Titans just win." And his interviews suggest the media scrutiny is starting to get to him, which isn't good because he hasn't received as much as other QB's have. He's gotta choose to go forward and do what he does and forget about the media. Your team is all that matters.

Young looked pretty good on Monday night. He had not played very well up to then. He has a lot of talent, maybe he is turning the corner. Then again maybe not. I am hardly sold on this guy. Kordell Stewart looked really good for a while too. Who knows, only time will tell.

50yearfan makes a really good point.

Well put, Dark Knight.

"If VY has weapons he can play better."

50yearfan hit the nail on the head. Someone above compared him to Kordell Stewart.
Bandit77: I think Stewart was actually better. Stewart lost Chan Gailey, Yancy Thigpen, and his offensive before struggling. Young is a runner that's a threat to pass. Period. His receivers are open because of that threat. That 62.5 passer rating is an indication of what happens when he has to deliver the ball.

ALL WE NEED IS A FEW WELL KNOWN WR'S AND EVERYTHING WILL BE ALLRIGHT! CAUSE THE BUNCH OF NO ONES THAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW SUCK...WELL EXCEPT JUSTIN GAGE HE HAS MADE A FEW GOOD PLAYS HERE LATELY!!

November 21, 2007  12:33 PM ET

With out big Albert Haynesworth, our defense it's exposed to the max! With Haynesworth playing most teams have to double team him all day that creates openings for Vandenbosh and Odom on the corners.

Vince's NFL Career has mirrored his College career so far...came in as a fish and was able to make plays happen that were eye popping and would do some things that were not very good, but won games. Second year came around and the nation caught up a little bit to what he was doing, took him some time early in the season to adjust and adhere and you could see it start to click at a point, set them up for there national title year by basically winning the Michigan game by himself. Vince always got **** for his passing skills, but late in the 04 season his numbers jumped, he's more accurate then he gets credit for. I don't think it's a bad thing, thou, that he is concerned about what people say...this is what Vince gets off on, this is what makes the man tick, it's the back against the wall thinkin that produced some of the greatest single game out puts in NCAA history, it's the thought that the critics might be right that make Vince Vince.

He had a nice game Monday, the picks were ill-timed, but it's part of the maturation of a young QB. It happens, just think, if the three big drops that were made by Scafe, Williams and Gage, Vince throws for 390 and 2 TDs...pretty nice for a running QB who can't throw

November 21, 2007  04:37 PM ET

IF If IF....this is the fact. 5 tds, 12 ints....career 17 tds, 25 ints...65.8 passer rating. Pretty poor stats for a passing QB.
People always talk about the passes that are dropped, but they have no proglem including passes that were great catches, caught on the wrong shoulder or all those passes the running backs catch that go the lenght of your living room and get ran for a twenty yard gain. It all evens out..andy you are what your record says you are. He is a 65 rating QB, ranked 24th in the NFL satistically.
VY is not now a top QB in the NFL. He may be someday. His team wins with and in spite of him , but not because of him. Their record would be the same, or better, if Kerry Collins was back there.

November 21, 2007  06:58 PM ET

keep on doubting him, it only makes him stronger

November 21, 2007  07:57 PM ET

Hating on Vince is wrong, he has given the titans a better chance of winning games. Aslo, the Titans still need better defensive players, and better WR. Can't blame everthing on the QB

November 21, 2007  08:10 PM ET

Vince Young played well on Monday (if you leave out those two AWFUL ints). I am not Young fan but I was really impressed. A lot of his passes were dink and dunk, but I thought he showed pretty good composure. If he is injured though he should sit. If he can't run people are going to tee off on him, and passing ain't his game.

November 22, 2007  09:43 AM ET

I saw too many dropped balls the other night to be blaming anything on Vince at this point.

November 23, 2007  02:26 AM ET

wow

November 24, 2007  04:18 AM ET

The MNF game lsat week was the best of Vince's career. He demonstrated how he can be a great QB. Other than the two forced picks he threw late in the fourth quarter. He played a flawless game both in and out of the pocket. America's legend is right. The Titans need some weapons on offense. A speed back to compliment Lendale White, a Keyshawn type receiver who can go over the middle and catch the short passes and a pass catching tight end to compliment the versatile Bo Scaife

November 27, 2007  11:59 AM ET

Everybody get off of Vince Young's back.

You want to jump ON the VY Bandwagon when he's hot and then gripe about him when he's down. That's crap.

If I were going into battle every Sunday, I would want Vince Young at the helm. That's the best compliment I can give him.

Negative people.... SHUT UP.
