08:20 AM ET 04.22 | There are games from the 2010 season that still seem to haunt USC's head coach. USC suffered losses to Washington, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon State and Notre Dame last season that continue to bother Trojans coach Lane Kiffin, and Thursday he offered an explanation for the setbacks. "It's easy to second-guess because we didn't win as much as we wanted," Kiffin said. "We should have done things different last fall. We should have hit, and we should have tackled." Kiffin said the Trojans will tackle in practice next season and risk injury, because it's too vital for the defense. "We probably would have gotten more guys hurt, but we were fully healthy and didn't tackle anybody for the first game of the year (against Hawaii)," Kiffin said.

It's football. You have to practice full speed if you want to tackle well. Injuries happen, you just have to do the best you can to protect key players and adapt when you lose one.

Never quite sure if Irish fans bring up stats like these because they think it is making a point, or if they are doing it in jest.
