08:08 AM ET 04.22 | After playing only six minutes in Game 2, J.R. Smith isn't thrilled with the way he's being used by George Karl. [Smith] said there's a "strong possibility" he won't sign with the Nuggets this summer as a free agent, expressing frustration Thursday after the Nuggets went down 0-2 against Oklahoma City in the playoffs. "There's a strong possibility as of right now," Smith said. "It's not going the way I planned it to go. It's a tough situation. I want to be here, I love the fans and everything about the city. It's just maybe not my fit." The Nuggets had a team meeting on Thursday and Smith said the team didn't have "a pulse" as they regrouped at Pepsi Center. "Just frustration, just really didn't have any life in there," Smith said. "No one was really into it."

Denver set themselves up for this and that's why Melo left. With so many of their top players in contract limbo it's impossible for them to play efficient basketball. I'm talking K-Mart, Nene, Smith, Chandler and Afflao. They are all useful players that will get paid by other teams if Denver doesn't step up so what did Denver's front office expect... next season Gallo, Felton & Mozgov will be in the same boat? If y're an analyst you ask yourself can Denver retain all those players? Even if they do does that make them a championship team? I don't think so.... Denver is a mess. They have to decide between paying Chandler or Smith. This is based on the assumption that they will lock up Nene and K-Mart which will put them over the cap so there will be no money left for Gallo, Felton & Mozgov... man Denver's a mess... I wish em well...

Well, JR. certainly makes that an easy decision. I think they can keep Chandler, Gallo, Nene and Felton, but I dont think those players can take them to the finals. They are probably better off blowing this team up and starting from scratch.

JR has loads of talent. Someone will take a chance. He's a complete nut and I think its time both he and Denver get a fresh start.

hey Chef!I'm excited about a playoff game in MSG again. Hopefully Amare can play tonight. The house will be rocking and Spike Lee will be there ready to go also.

It's not going to be easy with all the injuries we have but we'll be right up there next season. We need big men that can bang and a third string point guard. In the off season trade Billups for a decent big man. Let Douglas and Carter hold it down for CP3 or Howard and if that doesn't work out. Use that cap space to get Gallo and Felton back cos Denver can't afford to keep those players.... we'll be sitting pretty.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Chandler back in NY.

I think him and Gallo will find a way to the nest. Watching Denver against OKC they both look out of place and got the "get me out of here" look on their face. I'd like to think it's because of the turmoil in Denver's lockerom - not the bordom of being in a place that's not new york city.

Denver will be dumb to chose Chandler over Smith. Even though they both smoke too much weed Smith is not injury prone and inconsistent like Chandler...
