Why Cowboys won't draft Fairley

08:24 AM ET 04.23 | I can say with conviction that the Cowboys want no part of Nick Fairley. Not even sure they'd take him in the second round. There's simply no belief at Valley Ranch that Fairley would come close to reaching his immense potential.

I don't know about 2nd round, but first probably not.

Damn this guy sure has slipped down the draft board in the last month? What's up with that??

I don't know. Did he break his leg or something?

Honestly, when I saw the headlines I thought to myself... Cowboys won't draft Fairley because he'll be long gone by the time they're on the clock.

But I guess not.

Could be worse though...

D'Quan Bowers has slipped further than any non-QB in memory.

Ahhh more pre-draft pot-stirring...

April 23, 2011  09:20 AM ET

He won't be on the board past the tenth spot.

Kinda what I thought, Chico...

Still - wonder what the deal is.

I think his history of really up and down weight changes scare teams off. Now around 275, at times he has weighed over 300 lbs.

I love me some Spam!

OL is where they are/ should be looking anyway.

Apparently a lot of teams are concerned because he had a separated shoulder and didn't seem to be concerned about rehabbing it. While he was busy not rehabbing, his weight went quite a ways north, as 50 pointed out. He also visited several teams and was allegedly late for meetings with them. It's all drawing a familiar picture, and some teams want no part of it. Someone's going to take him, thinking they're so good with troubled kids that they can turn him around. And there's at least a 5% chance they'll be right.

Can't they block all this damn spam. Getting old fast

Dammit... this puts the Raiders in play for him.

Here we go again...

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall was in an intensive care unit Saturday after being stabbed with a knife by his wife.

Michi Nogami-Marshall was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and domestic violence. She remained in a Broward County (Fla.) jail as of late Saturday morning.

Marshall, 27, was "not in imminent danger," a source told FOXSports.com's Jay Gazer. Further details are still unavailable, but a source said it's believed the stabbing stemmed from a domestic altercation.

The Cowboys have enough problems. They can't afford another distraction.
