08:41 AM ET 04.23 | If you tell LeBron James that Cleveland was his city or the Cavaliers were his team, prepare for a quick correction. The Akron native didn't wait for the end of a question Friday when a reporter referenced Cleveland as "your city." James' message was that he can't disown something that was never his. "It wasn't my city. It wasn't my team either," he said. "I was just a player, you know, I helped get that franchise to leaps and bounds that they haven't seen before."

QUOTE(#4):

Agreed Dee. Why say anything negative. It's like Shaq used to do. Once you leave just shut up about your old team. Stop picking at raw wounds.

He's just telling the truth. Cleveland wanted him, doesn't mean he wanted Cleveland.

Did reporters ask Shaq questions like that after he left Orlando? I don't think he was looking to bring Cleveland up, they asked him that because they wanted a story. I don't blame him for telling them what he felt. I guess you guys would have prefer he says "No comment."

I don't think he should bite his tongue. Why??? He did nothing wrong.

In regards to Cleveland, if you don't love em, you just don't love em. Nobody wants to be rejected but that's life.
