Dolphins still worried about Marshall

08:49 AM ET 04.24 | The Dolphins are now worried about Brandon Marshall because, troublemaker or not, they know he is troubled. It has been that way for Marshall's entire pro career, and that's the reason his latest unfortunate, sad domestic violence episode stunned neither the Dolphins' brass nor players. "And this is supposed to surprise me how?" a Dolphins player texted Saturday morning when told of what happened to the Miami wide receiver.

"And this is supposed to surprise me how?"

What a moron.

It's unfortunate to see an immense talent wasted on stupid decision after stupid decision. Looks like the Broncos definitely made the right move there. Additionally, a wide receiver is only as good as the QB who gets him the ball. Sorry for you, Brandon.

Happy Easter, Dolphins. Enjoy yet another present from 'The Beast.'

Getting stabbed by the wife is never a good thing, one would think!

John Bobbitt made a 15 minute career out of it, but hardly worth the price.

What is it about being a wide receiver in the NFL that makes someone as likely as not of being a total head case?

Another reason you have to weigh in character when issuing contracts.

I heard it was 65% off the top.

Agreed. When I heard that a Dolphin had been stabbed, I assumed it had to be Marshall. Sure enough, it was...

You wanna beat women... sooner or later, they beat back.

Or stab...

They should make the woman their QB, she seems to be more accurate connecting with the guy than Henne did.
she goes deeper too.

One would think he's learned his lesson in the Denver tragedies.. What a trouble magnet.

"And this was supposed to surprise me how?"

It seems to be a widely-shared sentiment.

This wasn't surprising. His history should have told the Dolphins to steer clear of him. A thug will always attract trouble and in the NFL it's a no brainer - stay away from these guys because they will cause you trouble.

Think about the lockout. With these guys roaming around with no organized activities it will only get worse. A lot of these guys borrow money from the team just to meet bills EVEN in the offseason. Not just during game check delivery. Some of these guys are just an afternoon away from hard times. It's their fault.

Marshall gets no sympathy from me. He has a long history of being a numnutz. He should be a Bengal.

Her claim was self defense. If they end up charging him with something, this may not be the only time this season that Brandon Marshall gets cut.

First three threads are all about troubled players. Troubled receiver Dez Bryant, troubled cornerback Aquib Talib, troubled receiver Brandon Marshall. Pretty soon people are going to think that 'troubled player' is a one-word description for a position, like 'cornerback'. Here is a future scenario, Mel Kiper discussing next week's draft: "Yes, the Bengals, having lost both TO and Ochocinco, are weak in the troubledplayer spot, so expect them to draft either Ryan Mallet or Cam Newton in the first round."
