Brown in line for NBA job?

09:00 AM ET 04.24 | Larry Brown believes he still can coach, and coach productively, for several years. He is open to returning to college, perhaps because the game is simpler and he won't be restricted by salary caps or underachieving, high-paid players unwilling to adhere to his system. It seems his discipline, slow-paced offense, and reluctance to use younger players caught up with him in Charlotte. With Rick Adelman out in Houston and Detroit's Jon Kuester, Minnesota's Kurt Rambis, Toronto's Jay Triano, and Atlanta's Larry Drew on the hot seat, there may be a team interested in Brown, who has a reputation for fixing franchises but never staying too long.

Of course Larry Brown BELIEVES that he can still coach. No shock there. He'll resurface somewhere.

Noone questions Brown's knowledge and understanding of the game. The problem is he's 70 years old and may not be able to relate to the current generation of young players. That's why he doesn't play them. It's time for Brown to watch the NBA the way the rest of the fans do....on TNT.

How many coaches can relate to the current generation of young players, regardless of age?? :-)

Tlee, good point but I just don't have much faith in Jordan as an owner to bring in the right players for a younger coach.

Larry needs to stay retired and enjoy his retirement. He is too old now and the daily stress is not worth having a heart attack early. Ghostown might want him back for his Spurs team for he believes that Brown is a way better coach then Pop and Phil...

dont forget to add nate mcmillan and himself coach ghost. he also said coaching "aint rocket science"
