Tebow does "truly believe" he is ready to become the Broncos' full-time starting quarterback this year. "I'm looking forward to the competition to prove that I can do that," he said in a phone interview. ... Q: John Elway has said you are raw as a quarterback and must become a better pocket passer. What's your response? A: "I haven't taken a snap in the offseason from the shotgun. It's all been under center, five and seven [yard] drops and passes from the pocket. I've done that thousands of times, working out six-seven hours a day, seven days a week. There's a big, positive difference."

This lockout could hurt Tebow more than most. He should be working closely with Elway and companyh to show them he can still be the man in Denver, but he can't. How do you impress a man you're not allowed to communicate with?

Give the guy a chance. He has heart and character. That can go a long way in the NFL. I think he will surprise people. I am a TN Titans fan and wish we had him. I believe he will do very well in the league. It's a shame that he is having to play so soon. Too bad he doesn't have another year under his belt. That is the only knock I can think of.

Conversely, as a rookie, Elway was trying to take snaps from the guard...(scared the hell out of the guard).

Elway didn't win Super Bowl's until he had Terrell Davis running the ball for mega yards.
