08:10 AM ET 04.26 | Jered Weaver is on some kind of roll, running his record to an MLB-best 6-0 Monday. He retired 16 of the first 18 batters he faced, striking out nine of them and allowing just one runner past first base in the first six innings. He tired in the ninth, allowing consecutive singles with one out, before closing it out for his second consecutive complete game. He is the first Angels pitcher to go the distance in back-to-back starts since John Lackey on July 7 and 14, 2006. ... Said Torii Hunter: "He's starting to get up there with Johan Santana for me. Santana won a couple Cy Youngs when we were with the Twins [2004 and 2006], throwing 95 mph from the left side, striking everybody out. That [Weaver's performance] is Johan Santana-like, when he was at his max. Weave is definitely there."

He also leads the league in ERA, K's, and IP so I wouldn't say that his record is overrated as a telling statistic of how dominant he has been.

Moreno you better sign Weav long term fast cuz every time he pitches Boras is upping the price. Be a big mistake not to keep him in town for a long time.
