10:19 AM ET 04.26 | Chelsea is poised to make a $65 million bid for Gareth Bale in the summer. The Blues believe their hopes of enticing the Welsh wonder away from White Hart Lane can be boosted by beating his current club on Saturday. A defeat for Tottenham would be a devastating blow to their flickering chances of Champions League soccer next season. The 21-year-old Bale, voted the PFA Player of the Year, has not hidden his desire to play in Europe's elite competition next season after lighting up the Champions League this season.

probably my only comment on the subject (Praise me Pol Pot!!!)

Say. No. To. Chelsea.

I strongly sense an eventual downturn for Chelsea. This is where the lack of emphasis on the youth system and quality buys (ie; like Cheech to United) will bite Chelsea in the ****. They only seem to be able to buy quality in the backline (Luiz, Ivanovic). At some point, Torres is gonna wish he was back in Liverpool. I give it by.... end of next year?
