08:01 AM ET 04.27 | Pittsburgh could become a city of some brotherly love. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has given an edict to his personnel department to explore all realistic trade options for Mike Pouncey, a guard/center, to be prepared to acquire him should he "start to slip," according to the source. The Steelers drafted Pouncey's brother Maurkice, his teammate at Florida, in 2010 and he responded with an All-Pro caliber season. Tomlin is enthralled by the idea of teaming the brothers on his offensive line and the Steelers know Pouncey will be gone long before they pick at selection 31. Should the Dolphins not select Pouncey at 15th overall, the scenario could unfold for the Steelers to move up.

What no more excuses why they lost the super bowl....I'm shocked!

If he falls to them, he falls to them, more speculation, bring on the draft already.

April 27, 2011  08:05 AM ET

I wish the draft was over, speculation is killing my soul.

I'd love to see the Pounceys side by side again at the next level. Best of all, it keeps Mike from trying to play center. He belongs at guard.

Pouncey Brothers of Pittsburgh, sounds like a menswear line

Please, please make it happen.

No ****. You'd think they played a CFL team by the way they make excuses.

Still PO"ed the Steelers knocked out the Ravens??? AGAIN

Steelers usually can evaluate talent well- better to stay at 31 and get a guy -than spend depth in draft picks to move up

Mike was the best blocking center I have seen at UF. Snapping not so much.

This would definately be a good option for the Steelers. With the way that they draft and turn un-heard-ofs into Pro Bowl Players, they can probably find a decent CB in the 2d and 3d rounds. They need to get players that will keep Ben UPRIGHT!

April 27, 2011  10:04 AM ET

This is a MAJOR need for them. Would really make life easier for the running game and Ben.

April 27, 2011  10:12 AM ET

their MAJOR need is DB

That's like saying someone is the best hockey player because he has a great slap shot -- but can't skate. The job calls one to do both well.

It comes down to the cost, If they can move up for their #1 & a #3, i would do it. Anything for more wouldn't be worth it for a gaurd.
