08:15 AM ET 04.27 | Jim Boeheim may not like the way the Orange went out in 2010-11, but it is serving as a rallying point for 2011-12. Ever since that heartbreaking 66-62 setback against Marquette, Syracuse's players have vowed that next season will be different, that they'll win the Big East title instead of merely competing for it. They've said that postseason performances such as the sloppy effort they turned in against Marquette are a thing of the past. There's plenty of reason to believe them. Glance at Syracuse's roster, and it's easy to see why so many believe the Orange will be one of the country's most improved teams in 2011-12. Other than star forward Rick Jackson, Boeheim's squad returns every player who contributed to last year's squad.

Can't happen. Only the Big East is worthy...at least according to ESPN.

I'm torn on this. This years motto was "Unfinished Business" (from when AO got hurt and CuseNation thought we would have a deeper run) KJo was supposed to be better, Scoop was supposed to be less erratic, Fab Melo was a one and done super star. Reiley got hurt. Trish disappears at times.. Rick Jackson was the only solid consistent starter.
Basically anything can happen.
Now we have Waiters-Gate, (who has tweeted he is not leaving.. for what that is worth)
Maybe MCW (Carter-Williams) and Rak (Rakeem Christmas--thanks G-Town!!) will be big contributors and make this team very deep.. but who knows...
I feel bad for Mookie Jones... just a random thought...

Hard to argue against it.. but that is a long way away.. and the best team does not always win.

Cuse does better when they go into the season as unheralded. They do not do well when there are expectations on them. This could go badly.

i wonder how Kentucky would do playing against real basketball schools that are in the ACC or Big East rather that in a conference that cares only about football.

Their non-conference record and NCAA run proves they can play with anyone. Besides, the "football league" had wins over Pitt, Notre Dame, and Providence last year......might want to google that before making the comment.
Now, sick-em 0-6!!

Wait, I thought the way '09-'10 ended was the rallying cry for '10-'11. So doesn't that make the rallying cry for '11-'12 equal to '09-'10-'11 ?? or maybe it's '(every year since 2003)
