08:12 AM ET 04.27 | While the spotless line is nice, his MPH may be a more important number. Right-hander Brandon Webb pitched in his first game since the Rangers signed him, pitching two hitless innings Monday in an extended spring training game in Arizona. ... Webb is slated to pitch another three innings Saturday. He needed just 16 pitches to get through his Monday appearance against Peoria, and his fastball topped out at 84 mph. "It's a start in the process," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "He's going to go through the process of what pitchers go through to get ready for the next time they go out there. We'll see if things pick up. Eighty-four worked. He had good sink on the ball."

And if his next outing is bad they'll call it a set back. Just let these guys rehab without putting every appearance under a microscope. If he can come back healthy it will be a nice boost for the Rangers.

Does not matter how fast you throw it...as long as you can get hitters out, speed does not matter
