Blazers lacked admirable effort

08:07 AM ET 04.29 | Rooting for the Blazers can be an exhausting exercise. Three playoff berths in three seasons. Three Game 6 exits. This one goes down Dallas 103, Portland 96. And I'm thinking right now, that what the Blazers need this offseason isn't more skill, or a better game plan, but to never forget the drained looks on the faces Portland fans who left the Rose Garden drenched with sweat, and hoarse from screaming. Coach Nate McMillan said: "We had an opportunity to do something special this year." And he talked about how hard his team played, and how much effort they demonstrated. Maybe in the regular season, but sorry Sarge, but I'm not feeling you in the playoffs on this. Opportunity, you bet. Admirable effort? From fans, yes. Players, not a chance.

They never had a chance and they knew it, unless they put teams away with no doubt. The NBA will continue to hold them back.

QUOTE(#6):

You don't for whatever reason.Let's take into account they only have one legit center...Camby.Oden is hurt, Roy can only do so much with the bad knees.Another problem is I think Andre Miller's time is up with them.I like the Wallace trade it made them tougher hence they should have made that move from December.

You listed several key contributors who,
a.) won't be back next season
b.) won't be healthier or more productive

So how will this team improve next season?

QUOTE(#12):

Not gonna happen and Devin is not worth trading. Andre is a true PG that can control the offense.

Andre is very under-rated. He is a solid PG for the money

QUOTE(#10):

That was crazy and they almost gave it up again in the 4th qtr. Carlisle waited too long to bring back the other starters. Now it's time to get one win in LA.

Front court, my friend.

That's where this series will be decided.

If Bynum and Odum abuse Chandler & Haywood the way they did last month then this one will be over quick.
