07:43 AM ET 04.30 | Manny Ramirez could be returning to professional baseball. Ramirez, who retired on April 8 after being informed he was facing an "issue" under MLB's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, told ESPNdeportes.com on Thursday that he might play for the Aguilas Cibaenas in the Dominican Republic this winter.

I think the law reads: if you're not taking them, you're not trying.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if he still had a lot of money left. He's clearly not wasting it on shampoo.

Obviously, Manny has some promotional $$$$ out there with a contract tied to language that reads, "Manny Ramirez will be paid for his endorsement as long as he is playing professional baseball (professional is defined as being "compensated for services rendered"). Very common. Ever wonder why Michael Jordan played minor league baseball? His endorsement contracts read that he "must be employed as a professional athlete" in order to be compensated. Folks, when someone tells you it's not about the money, IT'S ABOUT THE MONEY. How do I know? Because it's always about the money!
