08:11 AM ET 05.02 | It is now, officially, the offseason for the Spurs. With a potential lockout looming in July, it could be a long time before the team reconvenes to start the 2011-12 campaign. ... Will Tim Duncan be back? Spurs coach Gregg Popovich fielded this question at Saturday's year-end meeting with the media. "I don't see why he wouldn't," Popovich said. Duncan, 35, is still under contract next season, and so long as the lockout doesn't obliterate all 82 games in 2011-12, he can be expected to put off the Hall of Fame for at least one more year. It's a longshot, but Duncan could trigger an early-termination option in his contract and renegotiate a longer-term deal starting at a smaller price tag. That would give the Spurs better payroll flexibility to upgrade the supporting cast.

Spurs do not have a terrible supporting cast. You don't win 60+ games by mistake. This was not a 1 man band team. However they lack size and a small forward that delivers during playoff time.Solution: Hill to start, Parker to back him up, sign Prince and have RJ come off the bench and finally sign a suitable center for defensive and size like Pryzbilla.Starting front court has to be Duncan and Splitter.Blair as the backup power forward.

Spurs are over the cap, if they sign Prince they must execute a s&t with Detroit. Who would they give up?

They need to get rid of Jefferson. I thought he was already fishing some bass when the other Spurs were still playing Memphis

How many more years does Timmy had left?

Either way this was not how the spurs thought their post-season would go... the grizz manhandled them... and i thought they would be fighting for a ring....

RJ.

It's Prince's decision, ultimately. Why should he choose the Spurs over Dallas, LA, Portland, etc?

Are Prince and Jefferson on the same level of production now?

S.A. is a solid NBA organization.

Two thoughts:
1.) Some team will likely offer Prince a little more than the MLE
2.) the MLE may not exist any longer
