Clemson moving to tough, grinding offense

08:21 AM ET 05.02 | Clemson's offensive line hasn't played a starring roll in Tigers football for quite some time, a fact fans may see change in 2011. Four starters return on the line, including center Dalton Freeman, and they are led by a new, experienced line coach in Robbie Caldwell, a South Carolina native who has coached offensive lines at Furman, Vanderbilt, North Carolina and N.C. State. ... Said Caldwell: "I bring a sense of toughness." Clemson will spread the field to run, not pass, this fall. And run-blocking figures to be the strength of the line, especially with uncertainty at left tackle. The Tigers ran the ball more often than they passed this spring under new offensive coordinator Chad Morris, culminating with an effort in the spring game which had three rushers gain more than 80 yards in the scrimmage.

Just don't go ranking them too high early. They have a propensity to under achieve.

Not so sure, LUS. They haven't had much luck with that if you look at the last few meetings.

They might not win that one at Ga Tech ...

Won't that be a sight to see? Two running attacks; a spread and an option.

Just deflate the football. No reason to have air in it.

QUOTE(#17):

They gave you all you could handle last year w/ CAM... Plus game is at Clemson this year.. Not saying you all can t win..But i would have Clemson favored

True on all points. And the bowl game went into overtime. But somehow, Clemson finds a way to lose...13 in a row. They'll be favored in this year's game' expect it to be another close one.
