Can we stop kidding ourselves -- the Heat are better with ANY combination that is not the starting lineup, right? Jones' four second-quarter three-pointers tied the Heat's single-period playoff record previously also shared by Dwyane Wade, Damon Jones, Tim Hardaway. Jones was huge. And needed. Honestly, when did the Heat ever think they would get 14 points in a period, let alone a playoff period, from James Jones? Jones set a Heat record for points off the bench in a playoff game. The previous high was 22 by Michael Beasley and Grant Long.

The Heat played very well yesterday. When D Wade is making 3's, it's going to be tough to beat the Heat. James Jones played tough too. Game 2 will be interesting.
