10:19 AM ET 05.02 | Manchester United has made a dramatic late swoop to hijack Manchester City's deal to sign the highly-rated winger Alexis Sanchez for up to $44 million. It is understood that Sanchez's representatives met with City officials last Friday to thrash out personal terms for the Chilean international. But it is believed the agents then had a further meeting, this time with United over the weekend. It is thought that the Sanchez's representatives have now indicated that their client would prefer to join United if a deal can be agreed, even though it appeared that a deal was well advanced with their City rivals.

Dammit TLVG. I thought we were in good terms - you even invited me to your bachelor party.

But you went ahead and deleted my account anyways? 10,000 rational comments gone!

It's going to be a great Monday!

I have to say, I was very impressed with the new Sunday Night Baseball crew last night. Knowledgeable about the game, entertaining to listen to, capable of playing off each other well, and throwing some really funny jokes out there too.

Also thought they handled the Osama news well, which isn't always easy when you're breaking into a sporting event like that.

I just want to say in no unclear terms that I was not happy at last night news. Plus, the Bundesnachrichtendien would have gotten him 3 years ago.

Neither of you dupes better be Unknown. I don't want my dupes to make me look bad like TLVG's did.

In other news, former Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia is retiring at the ripe old age of 37. Bayer Leverkusen have signed 21-year old Omer Toprak of SC Freiburg for five years as replacement. Those jerks also got Robin Dutt, Freiburg's coach. Toprak was quality, but he'll need more experience to cut back on his mistakes. Dutt is also a good coach, who did a lot for Freiburg with only a Papiss Demba Cisse and some other guys scoring goals.

soooo two Bayern dupes at the same time??

May 2, 2011  10:59 AM ET

So for when TLVG comes around; during they Sounders game the commentators said that was one of the best performances of the club ever. That really true? I mean 2 goals and one PK is nice, but it wasn't particularly scintillating football, surely the have done much better before.

Wow, this is like a scene from some movie where the two look-alikes duke it out for supremacy. Who will win out, today?

Dortmund will suck next year. Sahin and Ozil? and even still maybe Kaka'? A bit much at that position.
