You gotta take everything the Denver Post takes with massive grains of salt. If a story doesn't reek of Bronco orange, then the staff has no clue what it's trying to write about.

I always thought CarGo was a little overrated. Now, I don't think he is as bad as he has been, but I also didn't think he was as good as people made him out to be. I didn't think he could replicate last season's numbers. Plus, look at his home/road splits from last year. They're almost alarming. When you play at Coors, home/road should be taken into account.

Have you tried cutting back on the caffeine?

I would argue that Jiminez has been through it before. He was the lead story on Sportscenter every time he pitched last year. He was in the spotlight for a while and faltered under the pressure. He is the one I worry about more than Gonzalez.

Are we really discussing slumps in baseball, in May?

18-10, 4 game lead in the NL West, 4th best record in the Majors. If that's failing can we continue it thru September? I would be interested to see if Larry Walker would trade his MVP for some playoff success.
