Boozer should sit -- in a suit

08:08 AM ET 05.06 | Perhaps it's time Carlos Boozer, as teammates implore fans not to boo him, take a seat. At this rate it might not end well for Boozer. Whether it's turf toe, a balky ankle, bad conditioning or all of the above, he stopped being a 20-point, 10-rebound machine in the second half of the season. ... To a man, Bulls players and coaches blame most of Boozer's inconsistency on accumulating health issues. If that plausible explanation indeed is true then the Bulls need to address it now. Don't put Boozer on the bench for Taj Gibson in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Put him in a fancy suit and make him watch from the Scalabrine seats with others on the inactive list.

Only Shaq should act like that. Don't be like Shaq.

Although Boozer is struggling mighty he still has to play. What I find funny is how people point to Taj Gibson as the answer. He was non descript against Indiana and hasn't done much against Atlanta in two games.

You must not be a Chicago Bulls fan if yoyu are saying something like this. Unless Carlos Boozer literaly cannot play (?? la he can't walk) he should still suit up. The Bulls need him more than ever.

The ORIGINAL hater of the first star to leave Clevelnad, eh? Hahaha...

Injures have not been kind to him.... but if he's healthy he can put up 20/10 easily.....

May 6, 2011  08:53 AM ET

And they gave THIS guy their cap money....To funny....Mr. Glass....Maybe he isnt getting 20-10 anymore bc he doesnt have a pass first point...Not saying Rose isnt good but his game is a little different than D-wills.....

I'd love for him to turn it around, but I dont see Booz having a Willis Reed moment. The guys confidence has left the building and teams have figured that out by now. All this talk of turf toe is getting on my nerves. Ask Rose how his ankle is. "it's fine". That's how you treat an injury in the playoffs. If you can play, then PLAY. Stop talking. If not then go get your suit out of the cleaners.

Wow--"the Scalabrine seats"? that's pretty harsh

True. Drose has a different game, but Booz was getting 20-10 in the first half of the season. This isnt Utah. The Bulls run a diffrent system. Kyle Korver has scored almost twice as much and hit twice as many 3's for Chicago than he did last year. Mostly assists from Rose. This doesnt have anything to do with Rose not being a "pass first" guy. Since the All Star break Boozer has not been the same player. Whether that is becuase of an injury or a mental thing. I dont, but please dont try to blame his problems on Derrick Rose. Thats not whats up.

Uh...Sure it doesnt....Rose is a penetrate type of point guard and D-will is a pick and roll type...The reason Korver hit more three and scored more is bc he played TWICE as much as he did the year before....

Look Im not bashing Rose at all....Booz minutes were down this year and his touches were also down....He did a lot of pick and roll with Utah and the games Ive seen him in this year they dont do as much of it and if they do Rose just blows by them for the layup....

I get what your saying, but this is Boozers problem. True, they dont do as much pick and roll as Utah, Boozer is not the 1st option for Chicago, Rose is. Period. Deng has taken over as the 2nd option for Boozers lack of production. If all Booz can do is pick and roll, thats called one dimensional. There's no way that is Roses fault. Boozer was billed as a low post presence; someone you could throw the ball to down on the block and let him go to work. I've watched every game this year and that NOT what he is. Boozer was a bigger part of what they did in Utah, but this years Bulls are a better team, as they have shown they can win with or without him. Thibs cant let Boozers limitations dictate the way the Bulls play the game. He has to play his strongest suit and that might be the one that Boozer wears when he sits the bench.

Try to stay healthy, Bro.

Putting him in a suit would not be the best idea right now. Since the bulls are struggling in the playoffs. Coming off the bench behind Taj would be the better option. If he can give 12&7 then the bulls would be fine.

hahhah scalabrine seat. every team needs a scalabrine

Well.....I've had Turf toe and I've had low and high ankle sprains.

Turf Toe is by FAR the most painful/debilitating foot or ankle injury you can get......short of a fracture or a ruptured tendon/legiment.

If you've never had one.....you just don't know.

I don't know why everyone is riding Boozer, he's doing a fine job. He's not in Utah anymore where the offense had to go through him, Chicago is a different kind of animal; the offense is not designed for Boozer to dominate. The Bulls coaching staff will have to come up with something that include Boozer in the offense. I'm tired of hearing those has been ex-NBA players (Magic, Jon Barry, Mullens, Jalen Rose, and non NBAer; Michael Wilborn) talk about how much Boozer is not helping the Bulls. Remove Boozer from the lineup and watch how fast they exit the playoffs.
