Randolph: Grizz 'embarrassing' in loss

08:07 AM ET 05.12 | Shane Battier said the "ubiquitous it" was missing, though his teammates were much more harsh after Game 5's 99-72 loss. We know the breaking point now. Even the plucky Grizzlies can't muster much of a fight after losing a three- overtime game, and then going on the road to play a younger, livelier and more explosive team with Mike Fratello on the call. ... "It was embarrassing," said Zach Randolph, which is irrefutably true. Here's how embarrassing: The Grizzlies shot 35.9 percent from the field. Here's how embarrassing: The Grizzlies were outrebounded 50-33. Here's how embarrassing: Nate Robinson got into the game! It was that kind of night. The Grizzlies played a stinker. "They hit us, they kept hitting us, and we just didn't fight back," said Mike Conley.

IT'S OVER!!!!! Sorry GRIZ maybe next year.....

May 12, 2011  08:36 AM ET

Bounce back and game 6 and anything can happen in a game 7.

May 12, 2011  08:39 AM ET

It was certainly a logical loss. They can win the next one and take their chances in a game 7(or not). Even with their likely loss of the series, the Grizzlies have installed themselves as next year's OKC--the up and coming trendy franchise everybody loves.

And lose Game 7.

I kinda think so too...

Nothing to be ashamed of here. They just played 4 overtimes in 2 games. And it took its toll on the Grizzlies. They still have a game or two left so who knows. Whatever happens here the Grizzlies will be back.

if this drags to game 7, i hope dallas won't come out rusty.

Woohoo! The Thunder beat down the Grizzlies. Sorry but I had to get that out of my system.

This series is probably the best in the playoffs so far. The Grizzlies are a pretty good team and still have a chance at winning the series. I would prefer that OKC wins but it would be okay if Memphis won.
