08:06 AM ET 05.12 | In addition to clarifying his departure from Charlotte (the decision wasn't mutual), Larry Brown made a headline for his friend Wednesday: Donnie Walsh expects to return to the Knicks, if only because the team president wants to finish what he started. Walsh isn't nervous and doesn't seem conflicted about his contract expiring on June 30, Brown said. ... "[Walsh] anticipates being back," Brown told the Daily News before taping an episode of CenterStage on YES Network, saying he regularly talks with Walsh, his former teammate at the University of North Carolina. "Regardless of what happened with me, Dolan's a good owner who wants to win, who cares about winning."

QUOTE(#5):

The Knicks were absolute crap last season at this time, and in even worse shape the spring before that, and look where they are now. The playoffs didn't work out as well as we'd hoped, but they also weren't as bad as the NY haters would have us believe. The Knicks were in a position to win the first 3 games against Boston in spite of 2 of their 3 stars being down. We are going into the off season with cap room, 3 bonafide star players, good roll players and the back drop of the greatest city in the world to go along with those stars which can only help with attracting other good players. Our biggest weakness at this point is defense brought about by a one sided coaching philosophy, which if it doesn't improve dramatically by December 2011, will be eliminated from the equation.I like what Mr. Walsh has done and encourage the nay sayers to keep poking fun while they think they still can.

You need to stop worrying about "New York Haters", and start looking only at results. Yes, good job getting to the playoffs, but can they do better next year? We shall see.

NY fans are WAYYYY too sensitive when anyone criticizes your team. Fact of the matter is they have sucked for a decade now, obviously comments tend to be more negative than positive.
Start winning, you'll also gets some props! Let's see how 'Melo and Amare gel over a full season.

Well think about when the question is asked to sports players after they win a championship, where do they say they want to go? Here's a hint; it is not 42nd and Broadway. hahaha Don't take me wrong, I'm a Knicks, Yankees and Rangers fan, was raised on them as my step-father was born in the Bronx and then moved out to the Island in his early teens. Myself, well I was born in Miami and raised in South Florida, but still bleed mostly NY teams. Only in the NFL do I not root for a NY team, my following there is with the Falcons.
